Metzler tire mileage?
I have 12,200 miles on my stock tire. It is about time for a new one and I am considering going to Metzlers. I had them on my Gold Wing for many miles and loved them. I always got around 17,000 miles out of them (3 sets). My question is what kind of miles are those of you who have been through a set been getting?
Thanks for any input.

RE: Metzler tire mileage?
I'm guessing you're pretty light, ride really smooth, and run'm well down past the wear markers...
I have never heard of 17k on a rear tire of any sort that wasn't way beyond safe...
10~12 may be a safer estimate.... I have ME880's on for the 1st time and I must admit, they do ride better.... but I have a sneaking suspicion that they might be wearing a bit quicker than the Dunlops...

RE: Metzler tire mileage?
I'm at 10,000 miles on mine right now, the front as always shows very little wear. The rear is geting close, so I took my bike to the only place around here the stocks the Metz in the 18" diameter. I had him take a look at mine to let me know how they look, I was getting ready to change them out. He said the I should get another 2,000 miles out of them. So, about 12,000 miles I should get out of these. I run the rear around 45 psi, he said I should run them around 42-43psi. Now with my last trip I did about 1,500 miles in the rain, so I am pretty sure they didn't wear too much during those miles. But either way, I would say that they last as long as the Lops as long as you keep them inflated to the proper pressure.
