I am adding a removable tour pack kit to my 2021 ultra limited. The harley service guy called me today and said that I will need to relocate my cb antenna because I will be taking the tour pack off. He says that they are not sure how to go about this. I was surprised to hear him say this. Also, he said that they have called harley multiple times and they are not getting back to him. After having my bike off the road for a people of weeks, I am not sure how to proceed. Does anyone have any advice on this one? Much appreciated.
Did you add a CB to your bike? I didn't think they came with one anymore, unless you added it after buying...
I tried a "hidden antenna" for the CB in the fairing initially (J&M Audio) but I didn't have any luck with it (range sucked)... but to be honest, it was probably just me. https://jmcorp.com/JM-FLEXPOWERŽ-In-...adio_p_72.html
Then I went to an antenna mount that is mounted down by the bottom of the slots between my saddle bags and rear fender, and I screw the antenna off the tourpack on to it. It is a HD #76000308 and that one works as well as it does on the tourpack. It also connected under the seat, so if I want to put the tourpack on and put the antenna on the tourpack, I just switch the wires while I'm hooking up the other stuff under the seat. Here's a service bulletin so you can see what I am talking about... https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....6?locale=en_GB
