Oregon
I can be bad about taking pics sometimes, especially when I'm focused on the destination of the ride and don't stop for other than gas, to the point half my pics were of my bike at a gas station
Newport is one of my most favorite places, lot's of old memories from there, my Dad was in the Coast Guard during WWII there and in Waldport amongst other places. I want to give a shout out to Global Warming right off the bat because it ain't often you can spend a week and a half in the Valley and other parts of Oregon, having driven through I84 along the Columbia river and never get rained on! It was dry every minute and I soaked it up let me tell you! So, God Bless you GW and keep up the good work!
Not gonna lie, there are lots of things I didn't take pictures of and it's a crying shame, would have loved many more pics of the wharf and the boat docks and what not but for another time I guess.
A few words on the bike and so anyone can figure on what sizes may work for them on the parts below I am 6'2:
Seat: Just got the Corbin Solo Tour w/backrest and shape-wise it was perfect, so awesome to have the backrest. Shape is perfect, comfort on the tail bone not so perfect. It's firm, to the point of shy of hard, I hope it softens up but after 1400 miles or so it hasn't yet but it's a keeper for sure. I had a piece of sheepskin from an Alaska pelt and it proved not to be thick enough to provide enough comfort so when I got home I did some searching for the most dense pile I could find and I found it. "Medical" grade sheepskin is the ticket, they use the most dense skins they can find, most are cut to 1" and the pics will be below. I hated to stain such a beautiful skin but had to dye it black to blend right with the bike. Two bottles of dye, one bottle of dye lock-in stuff and it still didn't turn completely 100% all black but it'll do. From the dyeing to a light warm wash afterwards it shrank a little but that's actually good, it made it even more dense and being a large I'll still trim some so it fits the seat better. I'll come back to the thread and post pics of it when I have it all done (sew some thick elastic band over the nose of it to hold it around the front of the seat and figure out how I finish the back part but looking forward to it saving my ***!
1" footboard extensions: Another can't live without item on this bike, had 'em on my '08 UC and love them!
Foot cruising pegs: I had some new rider foot pegs I was gonna put on the back of my Dyna years ago and never did so I slapped them on with some short mounts from HD and they were perfect. I though they'd be a little wonky in an old fashioned way but for orginally paying around $40 for them they are on for good now and I even like the looks!
Bars: I bought some 12" KST Spearheads and had put them on and sat on the bike and took them right off, never even rode with them, they just didn't work for me as well as the stockers so they'll be for sale, they're nice but they just didn't work for me so for now and the trip it was the stockers and it was fine.
BAL1: Having a BAL is like being a radioactive leper with a can of bear-spray, nobody wants to be behind you once you hit it (mine is on two quick flashes and then steady on)!
Member Mchad was gracious enough to give me some CD front LED turns and they're great, tip of the hat to Mchad
Freedom Shields: 16" Touring, medium tint and it's perfect for me!
The bike ran great and I started with only 1,100 miles on the odometer and it didn't burn any oil there or back so that was good after what some have reported on their consumption.
I was able to get behind some folks that were moving right along and often was between 90-100mph and it was great.
I do have to say though that I am now partially behind Defund the Police, at least on the interstate. Oregon is just about the worse I've seen, they are like vultures out there, especially between The Dalles and Portland. I don't think they are human, just some life forms that prey on humans on the interstate. I say get the hell off the I-state and go clean up Portland
At The Dalles gasing up there was about 25 sportbikes from Portland. I left as they were gasing up and smoking ganja and they caught up to me before I205 and the word for a group of squid is called a "squad" but let me tell you, a more proper name would be a "menace" of squid

Traffic was dense and all the sudden they came in flying and lane splitting and some of those boys were really pushing safety against everyone else, like ANTIFA on GPZ's, I really expected to see some squid out of that but they made it out of my view anyway.
My destination turned out to be the epitome of tranquility and it was a glorious break from the last year and a half.
Whatever I've forgotten I'll add if I remember but here's some Friday pics

+1 on the BAL and the freedom shield.
Where did you get the floor board extensions?

The extensions are off Amazon and if anyone is interested in the sheepskin it's from: https://www.sheepskintown.com/medica...122-pad_size-m
Large is the right size on the sheepskin.

BTW if you add some custom dynamic signal/break lights and the triple play stabilizer, you will be rock'n the break lights when you hit the breaks. They go good with the BAL
I set my BAL to the brightest intensity during breaking and I used the triple play to set the most intense and crazy light pattern during breaking. The triple play also controls the break light too. So when I hit the breaks, day or night people see it.
