2013 ultra limited, just had the rear cylinder rocker cover gasket changed. Bike has been running fine. Left the house this morning for a ride, stopped for fuel, and bike wouldn't re-start. Tried to crank once or twice, then just clicking and clacking up front. After 20 minutes of trying to find a tow, I tried again and it started fine. Rode home and have re-started several times with no issues. Does this sound like a battery issue to the group? I also noticed my oil was low ( checked it hot ) and I'm wondering if the dealer didn't re-fill after the gasket change. Would low oil / overheat, cause the starting problem in any way? I can swap the battery easily enough, but I want to make sure I'm treating the cause of the problem. My thanks for your input.

Check both ends of the battery cables first.

Yup...check and clean connections and have the battery load tested. How old is the battery? 3 or 4 years old and it's usually the first suspect. Check those things first before you buy anything and tell the forum what you found out.

It is not necessary to drain the oil to change the rocker cover gasket so it was probably low from the getgo.
How old is the battery? anything over 4 years is suspect.
Charge battery up then take it to a Auto parts store and have them load check it. If you do not have a charger the AUto parts store should be able to charge it then load check it.

Final determination, battery was toast. Rated at 400 amps and putting out less than 100. New battery and we're off and running.
