Heated gear
Trying to get some information on heated riding gear. I have a electra glide standard. Can I power two full sets of gear (gloves vest and pants) from bike power supply. If I can power both sets would they not heat as well due to powering 6 pieces.
Or should I do a mix of 12v power supply and 7v battery power. For less strain on charging system. Thanks for any information

Look at the amperage on the gear you are wanting to run, you have 15 Amps to use. If the combined amperage is less than that you'll be fine. You can also use the charging pigtail on the right side of the bike near the starter for additional gear, if equipped. If not, adding a pigtail is cheap and easy.
Interested to hear from someone who has run two suits. I might be overthinking this but…..
Might have to add up all the draws (lights, radio and two suits) and compare to alternator amperage output. Battery would require a bit more amps when it gets real cold.
