Default Something new!

Well this weekend combined with the reveal of the Son and Daughter in law's announcement of having a Boy I made a change....
In a deal I couldn't turn down I traded in my highly customized and modified FXDF as pictured here for my new FLTRXS also pictured here.

2012 Highly Customized and Modified FXDF

2022 FLTRXS
Now I must say that being vertically challenged I do have two problems with my new Road Glide Special; #1 is the Jiffy Stand. Reaching it to extend it is a major challenge and it takes a lot to get it fully extended (common complaint I have read with riders with short inseams...Mine at just 5'6" is 29.5") so I just ordered an extension that will allow me to be able to safely fully extend it. #2 I am thinking of ordering and installing a 1" Lowering block for the rear shocks. With a 5.1" ground clearance I am hoping this won't cause issues of scraping provided I don't try and do any knee dragging riding. Any thoughts or experience from those who have installed this mod? https://hogworkz.com/harley-touring-...iABEgIIFvD_BwE

Also right now my new ride looks like a Cop bike so I am playing with adding some Blue Ghost Flames to the sides of the Bags and sides of the Fairing. It would be cool if someone made a wrap of this right? Any opinions on this?

Thanks Izzo! You saved me the work of moving it. I had just noticed my FUBAR and was in the process of copy and pasting it into the correct Forum.
DUH I think I need more coffee!

Im short also, I lowered my front forks and lowered my shocks to 12" on the rear on my Ultra Limited. Only helped a little. Nice bike Im sure you will get used to it soon.

Yep they do. I have an email out to a local place here American Iron Horse Seats to see what she can do. She is a huge Memory foam fan and I loved my Saddleman seat on my FXDF so before I pull the trigger on something else I will see what she recommends.

Congratulations on the new bike, good looking for sure.

Lots of bad reviews on lowering blocks here on the forum, search around. Geometry change is a big issue.

I would definitely look into the seat and if you need it, go with even shorter shocks second. But chase the seat first, no compromise to lean angle etc.

Good luck.

Yep, that was my thoughts as well after reading some posts. Regarding shorter shocks the stock are 12" so that is likely a dead issue. Also redoing the stock seat is not an option after speaking with American. The cost and the ABS frame make it not feasible or cost effective. A new custom seat is 4-6 weeks and costly. I am also finding it difficult to locate a reduced reach seat for the 2022 for some reason. Not sure why or if there is just a lack of information as yet.
