Oh yeah, I was an electronic engineer by education, and eventually became a director of engineering. Which means I came up with great/stupid ideas for people to work 24/7 to implement. But now, I’m also the implementer.

My goal is to get it done before we leave for Sturgis, so I know if someone is f#$kn with my bike at a hotel. If so, then I’ll jump outta bed and chase them outta the parking lot, whilst being naked. I’ll post videos if the hotels have them available.
Don't be a Larry Weaver ! Bless his soul.

Probably a motion sensor might work better IMO. I hear stories of a group of guys picking up the bike into the back of a pickup.

Most times I just chain my ride to one of those handicap signs by the front lobby in my travels.

That. For the purpose of alarm siren would be better. I've installed one this past weekend. It chirps when bike is straightened up then in 4 secs chirps again if it's not lowered and goes on if bike is moved. My watch said it's about 95 dB.

I have the alarm and it works really good - wasn't expensive either, but after reading that story about Larry Weaver... holy crap.... it would be super satisfying to light off some air horns in the dead of night on some unsuspecting thief.

Bitch prob have a heart attack and drop my bike, but it would still be worth it.

You don't have the original alarm in the USA.
In France (Europe) it is originally on the electra. And if you touch the bike, it screams and the turn signals come on...
You have the key, the alarm deactivates automatically.
