I put a new battery in my 2008 FL HP. After not using it for over a year it started right up. I let it run for 20 minutes. The next day I was replacing a bad front blinker. Next thing I know the S stand dashboard light is lit up and the bike won't start. There's been two recalls & local dealer won't have one for 6 weeks. I saw eliminator switches online in wondered if they work and also saw a video to just take your current sensor and splice the two wires together. I tried that and nothing changed. I was also advised from the dealer technician that could possibly cause a short somewhere else. Must the dealer reprogram the bike after putting in a new sensor?
