Before I tear this thing back up thought I’d see if I just did something wrong.
I just replaced my stator and regulator after noticing the stator plug at the regulator was showing signs of arcing. I had no charging issues. After I got the new stator and regulator in, my bike isn’t charging. I tested the continuity and it’s showing ground between the 3 poles and ground pole to frame. But when I check the output I’m getting 22 VAC at idle.
Anyone have any idea what to check? New battery and fuses are good.

This means the stator is bad. Shorted to ground has no effect on voltage output with a meter. It kills the output when going through the regulator. The stator needs to be isolated from ground!!!

If you mean it has continuity between any of the legs (wires) and the frame that is bad and it is junk.
