G$.....You have anything useful to add to the thread or you just gonna antagonize. Thought you were a poser yourself, but looked through your profile and looks like you've actually answered some questions before.
How does not having a pic make you a poser? People asking questions about a bike they are thinking about purchasing.....what better place to do it than in a forum of folks who may own the bikes. May be a bit early to get any real feedback about problems, but jeez dude....Who pissed in your Wheaties this morning?[sm=wtf.gif]

actually, i saw the copper/black in person and thought it looked damn sharp. guess that makes me a poser too? the only problem i have with the 08s is there isn't one in my garage.
jr_c6 and skratch,
thanks for some actual info. I thought we were all here to either get help or give some advise. I'm actually sorry I stepped down to you know who's level for a moment and comment on him. Thanks again guys and if other issues arise, keep me posted. I'll follow up with some pics later this week when I pick her up.

I have an 08 Road Glide with about 1800 miles now. Bike is outstanding, I have zero issues or complaints. No abnormal trans. noise, not a sputter or hiccup from the motor, heat is not bad altough the primary cover gets way hot. I just filled up and am getting about 45 mpg and I ride like an idiot. I have no high speed wobble dispite doing 90 to 100 mph sweepers for several miles. Brakes are by far best ever on a Harley, I just sold an FJR1300 and I think brake feel is on par. I adjusted the controls to fit me and am very comfortable n the bike. I ride as low as 60mph in 6th gear and the motor dos'nt apper to be lugging. Overall the bike is better than I expected and I may leave it stock it runs so well. I rode several 07s before I bought my 08 and feel the 08 was worth the extra money for me. I ride with a friend with an 07 Road Glide and while working on his bike you can tell that the 08s have a lot of small deferances. This is definatly not my first HD having owned four others the last being an FXDX, it is my first FL series and my best Harley so far. My Road Glide actually works very well as a motorcycle and my daily transportation.

Thanks gunrunner, and you are sure they are for the cableless throttle. Not all 08's are cableless. If indeed so thanks!!

rmouse, thanks for the heads up. I'm not doing much yet, though I am having Rush slip ons put on before delivery. I heard with the cableless throttle there are no grips available yet due to needing a gear in the grip. We'll keep checking back as more things come up.

Imagine that!
