Default V clip
Good day. I replaced my stop/tail light switch on the right side handle bar control on my 2007 flhx. Everything went great BUT the v clip fell out and I am having trouble figuring out where/how it goes back into the control. I've looked at the parts diagram and doesn't show placement. Anyone have any experience with this?

Stuff it in there so that it holds the switch in place is the best advice I can give. I don't think there is a "set" way of placing it. I have had to spread mine apart a little in order to achieve sufficient tension.

between the bracket and the stop/tail switch. I just found a new one in the bag the new switch came in.

Yes. The V-clip goes between the housing and the switch to hold it in place.
