Glad you had a great ride and a safe one. Did a similar ride last summer with two good friends; ~4,900 miles in 9 days. Seeing the badlands, Devils Tower, Spearfish Canyon, etc. let me understand why some people become geologists--simply amazing topography.

One really memorable moment, actually two, was riding Needles Highway and seeing Mount Rushmore through a couple of one-car-at-a-time rock tunnels--fantastic.

Very cool!

We haven't been in several years, but each year I keep thinking.... we need to do that again! Actually, I think I'd like to visit the area some time other than Rally week(s). There is so much to do & see in the area. we've been twice and still haven't seen everything we'd like to.

What day were you at Devils Tower? I was there on Sunday 8-5-07 and they had the American Flag still Flying.

Went to the Devils tower on aug 10 then to custers last stand then onto the beertooth pass
