Congrads on paying it off. I was doing good on mine till this past May, been out of work since with cancer, but on the mend now, but still looking at least another two months out of work.
Just wait to see how it feels NEXT month, and the month after that, and that, and...
Congratulations! Now, I'll tell you what I tell my brother-in-law and sister, DON'T go looking for new places to spend that money! Bank it! But, of course, it's yours to do as you want. Enjoy not having to lick a stamp to mail the check if nothing else!
That extra money is going toward paying off my truck. I plan on getting it paid off early too. I haven’t “mailed” in a payment in years. Since both my bike and truck are financed through my credit union, I either go online or call them to make a payment.
Congrats on paying it off. Personally, I have no idea what that would feel like. I have NEVER had a loan on any of the 45+ motorcycles I've owned since 1968. If I couldn't pay cash for it, I didn't buy it. Just a little something my dad drilled into me as a kid...."if you have to borrow money to buy something, then you can't afford it." Been blessed, worked hard, saved money and paid cash for my bikes, cars, AND home! Not saying people with loans and payments are doing something wrong, just telling you the way I was raised.

Not trying to start a debate about financial responsibilities lol but, if I can get a loan for say, 1.9% vs. losing potential interest that the money would make for more than 1.9%, I will take that loan in a heartbeat. S&P 500 is up 39% past 5 years.
But I get the peace of mind if not having a loan to pay every month. I never met a person that woke up in the morning and said :”Ahhh what a beautiful day! I wish I had a mortgage to pay!”
