Default Lifting fallen bike.

After a fairly thorough search for a lighter bike I've decided that my good ol' EGlide is gonna stay. Bottom line is that I like it...a lot! I do have one concern although it isn't a show stopper. I'm 72 but I can still pick it up if I drop it. Having said that I ain't getting any younger and my back isn't in the bast of shape. That's a two beer problem. So after the required two beers I got to thinking of using some kind of jack setup or mechanical advantage to right the ol' girl without the risk of straining my back. Has anyone done this or have any ideas of what might work?

The bike is down right now or are you asking in case it does fall over in the future?

There is a YouTube video of a 120 lb girl backing it up just using her legs.

Wow, $228 plus shipping for a ratchet strap and piece of pipe? That would be super easy to make

I thought it was pretty cool. Niche item drives up cost. I agree little pricey, but it is interesting.

Everyone is always telling people they should make something. But Its never as easy as you think. Where would you get pipes that slie together? I suppose pipe with couplings might work. Attaching it to the ratcher might be interesting.

I have gone boths ways. Made things, that half assed work, or paird to much and got something that worked perferct.

I used that jack on the Continental Divide Trail, I had about a 550lb bike and picking up one on the street might be easy for a 120lb girl with the right technique, but picking up one in dirt or mud? Good luck with that.

I used that jack probably six times on that trip. It works. Very glad I had it.
