Default Wire extensions help needed

I need to connect wire extensions on my 2022 RKS. i am not sure if these are correct extensions.
i also would like to know if I will be able to simply able to disconnect original wires on the side of the neck and connect new one?

For some weird reason instruction mentioned removal of the tank???? i believe on both sides of the neck are connectors that should allow me to add this extensions without any tank removal

Do I have to remove fuse or I can get away without doing it?

Any and every time you mess with the electrical system, pull the main fuse. Or Murphy of Murphy's law fame might pay you a visit.. As far as removing the tank is concerned, if the instructions say to do it, don't second guess the manufacturers.

Pull the main fuse, its easy insurance against shorts and damage from working the wiring live.

I can say first hand that this is necessary. After replaceing handlebars no less. Now I'm chasing an ECM issue.

As for pulling the tank, it takes 5 minutes even with a full tank of fuel. Easy peasy

Dealer installed my bars while ago but never used wire extensions I provided so these wires are tight. I plan to install lower legs lights from Customs Dynamics (in place of stock reflectors) these lights will require connection to wire that is originally designated for turn signal. I try to add 4-6” extension cable so I have enough slack and easy connection.

My understanding was I can disconnect existing pin that I pointed on below pic, connect extension wires and reconnect everything with new lower legs turn signal.

So you want to extend your turn signal wires 4" so you can connect your new fork lights. I just took a quick look on the website and it appears that extensions are included in the fork light kit. Maybe check your kit first and see what it contains.

Ride safe!

If you want to use those extensions maybe give Custom Dynamics a call and ask them if those connectors will accomplish what you're trying to do. Without actually seeing the setup I can't give a concrete answer. Every time I've done a handlebar swap I've always suggested to do the longest extensions because when people get tired of the 12" apes they want 16" apes and so on and the extensions are already done, but to each his own.

I see you're in Chicago or Chicago area so if you need any help reach out. I have a small shop and work on bikes.

Ride safe!

It probably mentions removing the tank, as most are going to be swapping bars when purchasing this product
