Looking for a bit of help, I'm looking at swapping out my bars on my 07 SG and can't seem to find the proper info.
Going from stock bars to KST Patriot 10", do I need to change any cables? or do I just need to reroute some stuff?
Are you planning to run the cables inside the new bars or externally?
If internal, you may have really short harnesses for them once pulled through.
You can reroute your brake, clutch, and throttle cables to cover the 2” increase, but it will be tight. If your routing isn’t right, you’ll pull on the throttle cables at full lock to the left ( think U-turns).
on my 12 I went with 10" yaffees which measures closer to 12". I did change the clutch cable to +6 as +4 was still too tight for my liking. no issues with brake line.

This. Right here.
If you go full internal, get some harness extensions from KST.
I got brain freeze from reading too many bar install threads here, and convinced myself I did not need them with 10 inchers.
I was wrong. I did full internal wiring with heated grips, and came up short on the harness.
This was the video that I used when I swapped out my bars on my 20 FLHTK although I see you're doing an 07. You may find some answers that you are looking for. I did not need to change any lines but simply did a little rerouting. Good luck.
