My brother also has one of these (but magenta) and loves the ride. I think op would more than satisfy his fond memories and have a top of the line modern Harley by finding one of these icon '23 Electra Glide/Highway Kings!

In my area most of the bikes are Ultras or limiteds. As said FLH is a FLH, like your FLHR. FLHR might be better in Florida, but no music, and it does seem to rain a lot down there, so maybe fairing would be nice. Florida people might like them when it gets cold, you know 70 degrees.

 

Was always fond of my 04. Bored it to 95, put in gear cam and duals. Seat redone by MCC. KW sweepers. Miss that bike.
