Default Cheap intercom system???

I am looking for a cheap intercom system/headset I can use with my half helmet on my SG. I will probably only use it a few times a year but it would be nice to have one to talk to my daughter on the back.I cant hear anything over the pipes.

I'm interested too. Most of what I have found only work with full or 3/4 helmets. Let me know if you come across something good.

ain't no such thing as a cheap, good intercom system. trust me, if you want something that will work, you will have to pay the $$. J&M makes a couple that work great. I got the intercom only system that fits inside my saddle bag on my WG with the volume **** on a piece of velcro on the front of the bag. it works great, but again ain't cheap. Tried one that J&P sells that fits on your belt and is battery powered. it was a piece of junk.

again, you get what you pay for.

onlythebest ,,,,,

in the J&M line you can use the MI-1490 amp that gman spoke of ,,,,,,, it is on the universal systems page on the J&M website ,,,,,,

you can also use the portable Integratr IV system from that page on the site ,,,,,

with either you will need headsets and cords for each helmet ,,,, and we have headsets for shortys, 3/4, flips and full coverage style ,,,,,,

just let us know how we can help ,,,, JMJOHN ,,,, john@jmcorp.com ,,,,,,

I've heard from a few that J&M is the only way to go, but. . .yesterday I had a customer pull up on his Ultra with the stock HD headset mounted on his half helmet. The mic was clamped at the edge of the helmet and he'd somehow attached the earpieces to the straps. It was pretty nicely done, actually. I asked him about it and he told me it worked and sounded better than when he had it mounted in his 3/4 helmet.

Chilhowee ,,,,,,

sounds like the guy did a pretty nice job installing those ,,,,,,,,

as for the Harley speakers ,,,,, they are not very efficient at all but those folks that have never tried the J&M's don't realize this ,,,,,,

J&M will be releasing in the next couple of weeks, some plastic installation inserts for shorty helmets that are very simular to what Harley is now offering ,,,,,

then you can install the J&M headsets in the Harley brand shorty helmets, and the J&M helmet speakers are significantly louder and more efficient than the Harley brand headset speakers ,,,,,

What about a bike to bike system. I had gotten a set of cheap thoat mics but what I found was A: did not pick up very well if at all
B: did not fit around wifey's neck. it was way too loose and therefore would not pick up her voice at all

ANybody tried any of the throat mic stuff that actually works, i'd like to get a good set of radios for us to use but I am at a loss at to what will work effectively
