Default "Roaring bike" to Touring bike - Tuners can you help?

My first post here so hello to all.

I bought a 2000 RK Standard a few weeks ago that is supposed to be Stage 1. Took the carb off and drilled the idle adjustment plug over the weekend and found that it has 190 and 48 jets, has a round air breather element with rubber hoses running to chrome fittings on the heads vs. what the FSM shows for a factory air cleaner setup and it also has Vance and Hines slip ons on it.

The bike runs fantastic but is louder than what I want it to be. I work in an underground facility and have a feeling that the first time I ride this to work people are going to complain. I've been thinking about taking it back to stockmufflers to save a little money right now and am wondering what the effect of putting stock mufflers and taking the 48 jet back to a 45 would be.

Has anyone done this and if so how much difference did it make in performance or can anyone advise if I can leave the existing air cleaner setup in place and go back to stock mufflers and the 45 jet?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Not good. Any recommendations on mufflers that might not be so loud but would flow comparably to the V&H?

Put some stockers off a 07 and it will run ok, they sell on ebay cheap all the time.

Se street perf touring mufflers, more noise than stock but not annoying and they breath better also. The 190 jet is fine and go with a 46 pilot jet.
