Went riding yesterday, I got home just after dark and noticed that my running lights were out. The brake and directional worked fine. I checked out the fuses and found the one for the lighting was no good. I replaced it and everything is working again. does anyone have any idea what would cause the fuse to blow? I did not wash the bike and didn't ride in any rain.
I don't see a ride bell on your scoot in your pics....I'd say it was them pesky road gremlins. Or it could be that you went against all advice here on the forum and chose some off the wall brand of oil
Could be just one of those things.
But if it does it again, check inside the light for any moisture etc.
Also check the rear harness wiring under the rear fender for a rubbed
bare wire.
Would be the most likely place to look.
Assuming when you say running lights you are talking about the tail lights on the bike.
i just had this problem with my 05 UC. check to see if theamber running light on the front fender is on, secondly check the wiring under the front fender for exposure...that's where my prob was, i pulled the wire just behind the left side front fork and found the wire was rubbed bare and every time it touched the fender it blew the fuse...good luck!
When I got my bike back from dealer service, I found the lead from the front fender light misrouted on the front side of the forks into the batwing, and it got pinched there and wore through the insulation, causing a short. The fuse that blew took out the tail light, the tour pack lights, and the front fender light.
