I don't really want to drop $109 down on a harley battery after this. A friend was telling me I could pick up an aftermarket replacement at Batteries Plus for allot less.
Seems like the battery should have some type of warranty.I could be wrong,but check with another dealer to be sure.
Yes you could save a lot of money buying an aftermarket battery.I would stay away from the batteries that Wally World sells and some auto stores.Good mc batteries are not cheap.
Well you guys were right. Gel batteries are funny. I borrowed a charger without fault protection and now the battery appears to be coming back to life. Thanks again for all your help. I will post an update to say how it ends up.
As someone mentioned, take the battery to a different dealership and don;t tell them you left the lights on.
It is not uncommon for these batteries to go beyond the point of no return if they get pulled down this far. If it was me, I would get a new one... one way or another.
