Default Tie-downs

I just purchased an enclosed trailer to transport my SG across the USA behind our motorhome.

I also purchased a Condor trailer-mount chock and theyclaim that only two tie-downs (ratchet type) are necessary.

Question: what are the best tie-downs to secure the bike properly? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

make sure when you tie down the bike that you ride the front forks down as far as you can! then put some duct tape around the strap latches just to assure they won't pop loose

I was in a hurry and had to get the ones they sell at the HD dealer (about $35+-) and they impressed me...hauled bike about 1200 miles and never had any problems. I used two sets, one set on the front and the other on the rear w/o any front tire chock. Always checked them at every stop and never slipped or became loose.

I also bought the Condor wheel chock that I can use in the garage and the trailer using the Power Ties and thier soft ties I know I am very secure on any trip. The Big daddy's are the BEST on the market!!!
