Default Thundermax Upgrade

I have a PCIII fuel management system on my 07 Ultra right now.

Will I see enough improvement by switching to the Thundermax with Autotune to justify the cost?

I know this is a broad question, but I would appreciate your input.

Do a search on Thundermax, there's a lot of posts on it and the other systems. You can get a good price on it by shopping around if you decide to go that way (shooter64/ Bartis a good start). The other thing that is nice is there is a lot of info being passed around on this and other boards regarding installation and "playing" with it. I've printed off some of the posts and keep it with the manual, some of the people have really gotten into adapting theirs for the way they ride and for economy's sake, and it helps to hear how they've done it.TMAX been around awhile, there are a number of people who have many miles on the unit, and they say good things about it. For me, and I'm not flush with $ by any means, it was worth it. It's actually sort of fun dicking around with it, and I don't have to make an appointment to do it!

Default RE: Thundermax Upgrade

After all my problems w/ my SG, the worst one being that idle went from 1000rpm to almost 3000rpm after riding on a highway(I have a longtopic/post of this in this forum, you can find itvia my profile ifyou areinterested)which was caused by PCIII being KIA, I STILLbought a new PCIII for my bike(yes, nowyou can start calling me an idiot...). I was thinking of getting the much praised TMax, but time was one thing that made me choose PC again(still some riding weather here, trying to get TMax here in Finland is almost impossible so ordering it from the States would mean at least 3week more downtime at the shop..)the other thing was(I actually think that I read it from this forum and after some thought I agreed)that when(if, dammit, IF!)PCIII dies on the road, you can just unplug it and ride home ´cause you still have H-D Ecm on your bike. However if Tmax(or similar system)decides to leave this world your best bet is to call a tow truck...

However I´m still interested about TMax so maybe one day I will order one and try it...But at the moment I have PCIII, K&N air filter, S/E mufflerson myTC88 and not planning to change things so that PC works fine for me(knock on wood...).

BTW anyone here use that similar system from Terry Components? Not familiar w/that one but many guys here in Finland are using that one, maybe it´s easier to get here than TMax,heard about it before I even knew what a Tmax was.

Seems they also have a similar system than TrueTrack and Ridestr8
