My friend:
A fews days ago I asked the same question and received the same answer.
The thunderheader system needs the baffle for their performance.
And they are loud, butit's have a different tone that you don't hear in the riding position.
I'm happy with my 2in1 system. The rumble tone is very different from the others exhaust systems.

I'll second what 04RoadKing said, you want louder Thunderheaders, you gotta bump up the motor some. 95", 103" have a great rumble to them. I've heard though that going much higher than that, and you need a different set of pipes, as the 'Headers aren't really designed for huge motors.
