Default OIL

I was told by the AMSOIL man that could put 20 W 50 in all 3 holes on my 2007 Ultra. What do you think?

You could but I wouldn't...I use AMSOIL 20W50 in the Motor, 75W140 gear oil in theTranny and H-D Formula + in the primary...3 different enviroments. Do so research on this forum and you well see alot of things concerning this
Good Luck

Have heard that also, but think you're better servedusing Amsoil Severe Gear for the tranny, especially with an '07. It'll smooth out the tranny better than the 20W50.

20w50 in the engine and primary and 75-110 Severe Gear in the transmission. The heavier lube in the transmission makes it way quieter. If you look at the AMSOIL web sight they recommend75-110 first and 20w50 second in the transmission.

As said earlier, use the search engine. There's more than you could ever want to know about oil and filters for your bike.

I wouldn't use 20/50 of any brand in the trans, that's MOTOR oil.

If you really want to see an improvement, try this in the trans. I changed from M1 75/90to this and can't believe the difference.

I use amsoil 20w-50 in the engine. Amsoil severe 75w-90 in the trans, and either amsoil 20w-50 or hd formula + in the primary. the primary does not need sybthetic oil, and formula + is cheaper and works just fine. The last time I talked to my amsoil guy, he told me about the 75w-110 for the transmission. I will be going to that on the next change, I believe.
