Got the pipes today and took a ride. Sweet sound not too loud but louder than stock for sure. Along with the IDS and the fork baffle (added the last week or so)I was loving the ride and weather in TX today. Getting ready for the Lone Star Rally. Taking the wife for a ride tomorrow, can't wait to let her hear the pipes. She asked me if they were loud. I said yeah but too loud. She said " I wanted loud!!" I think she will like them
Been running Wild Pigs for over 12,000 miles now and love them. Great sound when you twist the throttle and at cruising range they mellow out. Real satisfied with quality and fit. Hard to beat for the price!
You know... wild pigs.. like not in a pen. They roam around the country side lookin' for action! We got 'em at my local gin mill down here in Fitchburg Massachusetts we get 'em up on the bar dancin' to the juke box and and keep buyin' 'em shots all night long. Get 'em drunk enough their clothes fall off.
You get drunk enough and it gets late enough they all look good.
(actually they're slip on mufflers, but sometimes I get carried away. sorry.)
Got mine for $139. on ebay 2 years ago. Even got a t-shirt too! Only thing I did was repack the baffles to mellow them out a little. Not sure if they really did get mellower because I packed them when they were brand new and they still scream when you get on them! I think they sound great.
It's a small air deflector that comes either in black or chrome and fits down below the fairing between the fork legs. It deflects the air that comes up over the tank and causes buffeting to the head/helmet for some guys and pushes the air down low to the engine.
The come stock on Road Glides and used to be stock on Ultras in pre 2000 bikes. H-D cheaped it out and turned it into an accessory. the cost about $25, 3 easy screws. Good upgrade, especially if you are getting the head buffeting. (Which never bothered me.)
