A friend of mine is getting a new '08 Street Glide, and wants to replace the black, five spoke cast wheels with custom wheels.

According to the '08 parts accessory catalog, the black cast wheels listed on page 697 fit onlyup through the '07 models, which would include my '06 Ultra. This includes both the front and rear wheels. Were the wheels changed in some way from '07 to '08, that '08 model wheels won't fit previous models?

On page 461 the IDS is listed as "Introduced on the '08 Touring Models," but the part listed says it fits only the '07 Touring. Is there any reason it would not fit a previous model (That's just a question--no need to use it), or be a replacement part for any '08? If it fits the '07, but is on the '08's, is the IDS different from '07 to '08?

I would like to buy his '08 wheels, but only, of course, if they would fit my '06. I don't see any place in the catalog where this style '08 wheel are even listed.

Is it possibly different mounts for the Bembo brakes on the '08?
