Getting ready to leave Raleigh, NC (28 degrees) and go to Morehead City, NC for a short visit, then to home in Chesapeake, VA. Bout 350 miles total...Wish me luck on the heated clothes (Gerbings) continung to work great factor!!
I rode from Dothan Alabama to Atlanta yesterday. It was in the low 40s in Dothan when I left. By the time I got to Atlanta is was in the high 30s! I did it with one stop in Columbus Georgia. It aint that far, about 240 miles or so. I hand tput my leathers on before leaving and didnt wanna mess with them on the road so I only had on blue jeans and long underwear. Up top I had a t-shirt, a long sleeve t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and my leather jacket. I had a watch cap and a leather kerchief kinda face cover. Oh yeah and gauntlet gloves with a big gaping hole between the fingers on the left one! I was DAMN cold by the time I got home!!!!
Yesterday here in Austin it was in the low forties, gray, overcast and a bit breezy - great riding weather. I was looking for excuses to go to the store and grabs things. Then, late in the day, I took an hour and a half ride and it was great. Forty degrees at 55 and 60 mph is pretty nippy, especially after the sun goes down but I love it. It gets the blood pumping.
Today it is in the low forties and raining. They say it will rain all day today and tomorrow so I guess I will have to settle for working on the bike. Or maybe I'll set up a screen in front of the bike and run one of ratbasturd's video's on it while sitting on my bike making motorcycle sounds...
Rode yesterday before dinner, it was in the mid 60's. I got up this a.m. and it was 21 degrees out. It might be a few days before I can get out again. Hope it's not to long.
sorry fellowes but I have to share it with you. it is 72 degrees here right now a bit cloudy did rained last nite but weather will clear up by noon.
Going riding with my dad, brother in law & my two brothers later on today......[sm=biker.gif][sm=biker.gif][sm=biker.gif]
Snowing in the KC area -- no ridin' today. Even saw a sand/salt truck out late last night on the way home from work. Staying inside today and waiting for the big game tonight between Kansas and Missouri.
Guess I'll be commuting more in the truck now rather than the bike.
