Default Starter Problems in 07 models?

I ran into a friend Saturday night in a tavern that does repair work at the MOCO here in Milwaukee and mentioned I was planning on buying a '06 or '07 bagger in spring, seeking his input on better/worse. He said GET AN 08!
He also said there are alot of starters being replaced on 07 models but I haven't seen much about that here. I couldn't get into detail with him unfortunately, could he have been referring to models other than the Touring ones?

I can't imagine that the starter on mine is going to last to long. It sounds like it takes everything it has to get itfired up especially now that is colder outside.

No starter problems here, only ear to ear grinning on my '07.
Get what you want and ride.

Ah dunno.....11k on mah '07 UC, no starter problem. They DID have an issue with a bolt bein' loose on some of 'em - but that is a simple fix (tighten it!).

Had a 07 Street Bob and a 07 Wide Glide, never had a problem with them. funny. Non of my friends with 07's had any starter problems either. A lot of bikes were sold in 07 .

No problems on mine and I'm at 13,500 miles on mine.

The only problems i've seen personally have been people with the SE engines. Seems bolt problems (ala TexasRedneck) and just just high compression can do a number on them.

Mine may fail tomorrow, but with 17,000 miles in 13 months it has started like a champ each and every time.

Ever heard of EXTENDED WARRANTY of the 7 year dimension. Don't worry, be happy. Just ride and have fun.....Bldr

26,000 miles on an 07 Street Glide and no evidence of starter problems.

The only '07's I've heard of that have starter issues are police bikes. And they are 103's.
