Anybody have an issue with the screws used for mounting the Fuelpak to the spider bracket?
Mine were extremely tight going in, and one of the heads twisted right off. I went ahead and finished the install, and programmed the unit.
It seems to be mounted solidly enough with three screws. An email sent to Vance and Hines won't be answered until Monday, so I figured I'd ask the collective here if someone has run into the same issue.

I did the FuelPak last week. Bottom line, I could have done an engine swap on an old muscle car easier than mounting that thing. The screws are too long, first thing in instructions should be "discard supplied screws, go to hardware store and but 4 small / short screws".
I twisted off one of my spider-mount screws as well when I mounted it about 6 months ago. No biggie- other than that the install went quick and the FP works as advertised.
Bought a set of those Nightrider EFI enrichener devices advertised here: http://www.nightrider.com/parts/catalog00.htm
and will be installing them tomorrow on my EGC and the OL's Softail. It'll be interesting to see how they work as compared to the Fuel Pak.
If they work good I may have a FP for sale soon...
Yip. Had same problem. I could not get at least 1 of em all the way in. Had trouble with all of em. Decided it was secure thoughand finished the install.

Yeah...they're too long and too tight...went to Sears to get a warranty replacement of my hardened tip #1 philips head in order to complete the screw job without f*#@'n up the heads! Aside from that everything else worked as advertised though...
