I am a little confussed with this do the forks need to come off of the bike to do sliders on a 07 sg. If somebody could help me out here it would be greatly appreciated. Are they taken off the bike just because its much easier to put back together.
The entire fork does not have to be pulled from the triple tree to swap sliders. I have installed a pile of them without pulling the fork tubes.
Some people think that the fork tubes have to come out so you can seat the seals. Not true. I push the seals in place most of the way with my fingertips and then use two wooden dowels 180 degrees from each other to push the seals home.
