just picked up my 06 RK today...took it for a cruise and fell in love...even coming from a softail, I felt the vibration was nil at speed ( jumps a bit at idle of course but already knew that)... question is this front mount thing...the shop tech said he could tell the new one was installed because it was cone shaped...is that correct?..just curious...I checked it and the rubber looked fine
thanks...looks like the guy either didn't know the difference or lied because looks like I still have the old one...figures...I'm gonna have a talk with that guy...he was the shop manager too [:@]..I'LL be keepin a close eye on this...damn I hate bullsh!ters
Wow, I've had an 06 since Sept 05 and I still have the old one. This is the first I've heard of this bulletin too. It just goes to show you that shops don't inform their customers. My bike was in the shop repeatedly during the first few months of ownership due to the 8* injector problems too.

I don't know...maybe some old style mounts are better than others...this bike only has 1500 miles on it cause it was a police RK that was only used to show the kids in the dare program and an occasional parade so not a lot of wear on it yet...runs great...just would rather nip things in the bud
