Default Covington SG Dash Insert

Has anyone installed this dash insert on their Street Glide? Does the SG tank console have to be removed?

I have the black one and you do have to remove the console to drill to holes for the 2 studs and put nuts on the back side. They include a timplate to show you where to drill. It is very easy.

How hard is it to remove the console? I have a service manual but didn't see anything in it on removing the console.

There are two bolts above the gas cap and I think a bolt under the seat. It has been a while since I took mine off. NO big deal to remove.

nice looking, If I weren't a Fire Fighter I would try one, However, I have this and feel very good with it on my ride. Has every Fire Fighter who lost their life 9/11 + three retired FF's who were working at the Towers that day. I feel I have 346 souls riding with me every day...
