Has anybody tried one of these types of windshields? If so what do you think of them (quality) ect. I would think that the overextended part would tend to crack and break past the normal mounting area?
I have a clear 14" on my Ultra and love it. So far it works great, and it does what the says... I can hear my speakers better, less wind on me and my wife. They are well worth the money and Im very very happy with mine.
I have the 9" tinted flat top. I love it because it diverts more of the wind while I'm riding in the winter.
Just to note, these are not precurved, they are flat sheets of lexan and you have to bend themwhen you install them.Highly recommend that you put a small dab of loctite on the screws.
Funny you should mention that. My uncle who's abut 6'5" wanted to sit on my bike and when he was getting off he leaned to far forward and cut the bridge of his nose on the top of the windscreen. I tried not to laugh.....didn't work thou
Pat and Robin are good folks to deal with. I had a 10" flat top that fogged up on me after a rainy ride. Seems a minor flaw in the lexan beyond their control but they sent me a new one and asked I return the bad one. I really liked my flat top, plenty of protection, better sound from stereo, and I could see over it no problem. Go for it.
