I'm building a custom bagger. The motor goes in tomorrow. Any tips on motor install, alignment, etc would be appreciated. The transmission came in today and I installed it after removing pulley and installing the spacer plate. My "plan" is to install motor, mounts, heim joints, etc, and leave loose until I torque the motor to the transmission. Oh yea, this a S&S Twincam 124 and Baker DDR6 speed. Wiring harness is out of an 04 bike. Frame is Rolling Thunder with 200 mm wide tire.
Good luck, sounds like a real challenge. Post some pictures would love to watch it go together. Whole lot of knowledgeable people on this forum, unfortunately I'm not one of them, sorry. But I do wish you the best. Will be looking for the pictures, you got to do that for all the wrench heads out here and us want-to-be wrenchers too. I know I could learn a lot from them.
Man, that's gonna be NICE! How do you like the frame for fitment so far? You would think HD would be putting 200's on the dressers, at least the SG. But then I guess everyone would have one. YOurs islooking great!
Jerry
you could watch OCC...(for tips)
they run into prob's all the time,
looks to me,, all you need is a grinder and a hammer,,, everything goes back together simpler that
way! lol
Yes, it's an RWD tank. Don't have time to watch for tips on tv. Motor is going in this afternoon. Thanks for the replies, I'd appreciate any others out.
