While PD bikes tend to be well maintained, they are run hard. Lot's of full throttle acceleration and hard braking. Lot's of engine starting and stopping. Sometimes ex PD bikes can be a good deal.

Vivid Black 08 $16,495 MSRP. Remember, that police bike has the old ABS, not the Brembos plus the dorky police bags, no IDS, and over 10,000miles.Yeah, they have a little motor work but I would look for a new standard, should be able to find one close by for MSRP. It seems like a great deal for the dealership! Think about it, what would they pay for your 1 year old standard with 10k on it? bet they are in these babies about $8-9k each. Don't get me wrong, I got nothing against a guy making a buck but I wouldn't consider one of these bikes VS a brand spankin' new 08 with zero miles for a few hundy more....

Remember, the guys riding these don't really care much about them and ride the crap out of em'. They don't have to fix them when they break, or worry about resale value.

Dealers around here will sell under MSRP. I'd rather have an '08 with "0" miles for the same money. Bump up to the 103" is only about $1200 from what I've seen advertised.
