After waiting months I got the Bub Seven True Dual without crossover for a 2004 bagger. There are a few problems, e.g. Instructions are for a 2007/8, missing hose clamps, no transmission mount, and no gaskets. I'm wondering if this is changes for the older model bikes or is my set missing parts? I'll call Bub tomorrow, thought I would ask the forum if I'm alone.
These pipes were back ordered since November and came last week, I ordered through Drag Specialties.
I have been talking to V&H about the newer True Duals to put on my '05 RK. (for the O2 sensor bungs) They tell me I'll require a different tranny mount kit since that's changed on the newer bikes. I would think the Bubs would be much the same.
Yes, the older bikes require a different trans mount compared to the 07/08. The Bub I have is designed to fit the older bike. Transmission mount should be in the box. It's not. I'm wondering if I just got one of the first sets and they messed up with the assy kit...
Talked to Bub yesterday. The instructions were wrong. Bub emailed me the installation guide for a 97-2006. The bracket required is the stock bracket (transmission, right side). The other parts are not required. I mentioned to Bub they should have told me that when I ordered the pipes back in November. I specifically asked about the brakets and was told I had to change them... Typical response from the manufacturer, "silence".
