Well here's what pisses me off so bad. After the build (AFTER) He tells me i will only get around 40K out of the engine build and i only have a ninety day warranty. I called Harley and they said it was between the store and me, but the bike warranty was void now. I cant tell you how pissed i am for this. i lost my warranty and got riped.

My friend Luis does em way chaaper than that! He is a certified and trained HD machanic for <30 years. Sorry, you just got opened like a double barreled shotgun! Just got done with a 113 evo for me. All I can say is I am sorry for you. Do you know how many cheap dates that cost you?

Judging by the numbers I would have expected more but two items to consider:
1. How does it feel. Numbers are just numbers, Is it a flat torque curve, does it pull hard? If so don't sweat the peak number. I would rather have 8 less ft/lbs at a peak and have more in the 2500 - 3250 RPM range. Same with HP.
2. Do not discount the power of a good tune. Looking at your parts list I think you should have more there. You have good compression, good cams and I assume upgraded heads (can't speak how good those heads are) Look for a good tuner and I think you will find more power
Again don't sweat the numbers. It is how it feels. I have not dynoed my HQ build yet and would love to see how it does. Regardless I am pleased with the power increase even though I could always use more. Not to put salt in your wounds but I did my HQ build for $2300 but did my own wrenching. When you get it tuned by a better person let us know how you make out.

Sounds to me like you didn't do yer homework good,
The dealer does a parts build. They are under the EPA guide lines also. Indy shops will also run away with you on parts and prices also.
The HP and TQ numbers can change according to what kind of dyno machine yer bike is dynoed on.
Talk to a head man and a Indy shop. I did a mild 103 build, already had a Good set of pipes. I came out for around 2600.00
Had 92hp and 103 torque. Went with the Thundermax with Auto Tune.
Ran a factory 110cu HD and made him ask, what did you do to yer motor.

I wasn't thrilled with my dyno numbers either (low eights HP, nudging 100 on torque). My 103 (HD build) is definitely much better that stock but I think the tuner could have done a better job. I'm gonna take it to an independent guy down the road after I put a few thousand more miles on it. I did get a good deal on it (30% off parts and labor as part of a fall special) so I don't feel ripped off.

Get some heads or headwork and wake that motor up. An engine is just an air pump, the more air you get in and out of it efficiently the more horsepower/torque/smiles you will get. You can get some good head work done by some of the site sponsors for a very reasonable price, you should check them out.

I believe they are the 255's in the 103's and your right... no heads. That comes with the 110 build from them.

Hope the dealer put SE flat top pistons in.
But yer motor is still not breathing and could be woke up.

Lots of research necessary before we make changes like that. Especially if we let the dealer play with our bikes... I was pissedat whatI paid for the stage one download and for the dealer to install slip ons. It was a waste of money to have them do anything. Oh well if I knew then what I know now... Next time I will be wiser
