I've read a lot of post about 103 builds and the dyno sheets. I also see the cost. So why is it that my Harley dealer hit me for all this ? He told me I needed 103 jugs. pro performer heads. SE lifters. 37G cams. 10:5.1 pistons. And charged me $4500 for it and the dyno reads 100/87 . Why do I feel like I got riped off big time ? Did my dealer lie to me about my build ?

 

Cuz you did it all thru a dealer....HD parts, HD labor.

 

sounds like tuning or pipe issues bro i got the same crap from a dealer i got more torque then that from my motor when it was still a 96 with just cams and a fat cat , most dealers really dont know crap pm philm maybe he can help

 

My friend Luis does em way chaaper than that! He is a certified and trained HD machanic for <30 years. Sorry, you just got opened like a double barreled shotgun! Just got done with a 113 evo for me. All I can say is I am sorry for you. Do you know how many cheap dates that cost you?

 

Got reinharts . I'm telling you right now. I really don't feel like i can trust my dealer at all anymore. I went over it with him three times what i wanted. Can't understand why such a high charge.

 

Well here's what pisses me off so bad. After the build (AFTER) He tells me i will only get around 40K out of the engine build and i only have a ninety day warranty. I called Harley and they said it was between the store and me, but the bike warranty was void now. I cant tell you how pissed i am for this. i lost my warranty and got riped.

 

IM no expert i have been in youre same situation were dealer put together some mismathed parts my 107 run great now but had to go out side dealer thank god for ppl like phil andwilson cadle o and of course headquarters

 

Lots of research necessary before we make changes like that. Especially if we let the dealer play with our bikes... I was pissedat whatI paid for the stage one download and for the dealer to install slip ons. It was a waste of money to have them do anything. Oh well if I knew then what I know now... Next time I will be wiser

 

Thats why you have to seek out a engine builder or do the build yourself, the guys at HD are part changers... very exspensive part changers!!!!

 

I am a little curious, did you have this dealer do this build before you came on the Forum and read about different great builds?
