Before I sign papers this week on a 2008 Road King.
What are your recommendations for the best / or most needed accessories?
Reinharts true duals,#1 ?; clothing or whatever you purchase if you had to start from scratch?
May be something you wished you had not forgot to get or something you say ah sh*t that was a waste.
Fire away I have my Nomex suit on, the new sand flea always gets it worst.
Thanks.[8D]

You'll love that RK.

1. Cruise Control (if not an FLHRC)
2. True duals will hurt performance. Consider this: http://fuelmotousa.com/rush_fuelmoto (PCIII, AC, Rush slip-ons with custom baffles)
3. Fork-mounted air deflectors (HD). Greatly reduces wind turbulence coming up under the windshield, reducing noise and buffeting.
4. Oil cooler (HD or Jagg 10-row)
5. Kuryakyn Iso-grips
6. Mustang or Corbin seat with backrest

Riding gear....leather jacket, chaps, gloves, good riding boots, good sun glasses, helmet (if you are in a helmet law state, or if you choose to wear one), rain gear ,and cleaning/detailing supplies. Along with the stuff noted above.

The items mentioned thus far are all good for a start. Your getting a new bike and you will do what all of us have done and that is to personalize it. You will want it to be your creation and to make that happen your going to buy "something" quanities and items will very to reflect your own likes and dislikes. So I would try to negotiate a 25% discount for the 1st thirty days and a 15% for the remainder of a six month period. At the end of 6 months your usaually broke by then so you'll have to start saving for your next bike. Good Luck and nice bike, your going to enjoy that.

I would break it in first before doing stage one, exhaust, or seriouscomfort changes. Maybe highway pegs and handle grips out the door.

First and foremost is to make your ride comfortable...

1) Good Seat (HD Sundowner is the BEST HD has to offer)
2) Riders Backrest
3) Pass Backrest with luggage rack (if your going to go 2-up)
4) Handlebars that fit you and your riding style
5) Grips
6) Riders Highway Pegs

Now that your comfortable...

7) Complete Stage 1 (Slip-ons or Exhaust system - Arlen Ness Big Sucker Air Kit - Fuel Management System (SERT - TMax AutoTune - PC III - FuelPak)
