Default Cycle Dolly

As anyone used one of these items. It enables you to move your bike around and up against a wall if needed very easily. I was wondering how easy is it to use. I see two that seem to stand out. One has a brake on it the other not.

I have the Cycle Slider and it works well. I move my EGC all around my garage with almost no effort. It allows me to park the bike sideways in front of my truck.

I have a friend who has one that looks exactly like Cycle Dolly. It is no where near the quality of the Cycle Slider, very thin material and dificult to get the bike on. It flexes way too much to use on a touring size bike. He has it standing in the corner waiting for someone to make him a low ball offer for it. It might work on a Sportster, but not a heavy bike.

I have a Harbor Freight 1000# Motorcycle Dolly/Stand. With the money you save on this you can buy a whole lotta bling.

Harbour Freight has them on sale from time to time for 69 bucks, IIRC... Really like mine! The only thing I must say to the negative about it is that it's JUST barely long enough for my 2001 Wide Glide, and since my bike is lowered there's just a wee bit of scrape rolling on or off of the dolly. A little piece of plywood should help with that, however.

I use my m/c jack. The dolly straddles the jack coming in from the left side of the bike.

I got my Harbor Freight jack for $39.99....I use the sears red jack to lift my SG, and place on dolly. The dolly is great as long as you have a smooth garage surface. (or you cna replace the wheels with silicon ones for rougher surfaces.....

Love it though

I also have the Harbor Freight motorcycle dolly. Works great, bike is very stable, rolls easily. Also has ramps/locks at each end. I believe I got it for $69 on sale. I am very pleased.
