T-Max Upgrade.
I've had my Tmax installed for about 500 miles. Right off the bat it made a huge improvement in performace. However after putting in some longer rides I began to have decel popping. The Tmax has a feature to fix this, but when I tried to use it, it blocked me from turning it on. Read the instructions, fix is to download latest updates from Tmax website. After trial and error I found out the latest upgrade on their website was the same as what I had been running. I read in this forum that there was a later upgrade available. I called Zippers and they apologized for not having the current upgrade on the website. He immediatley sent me the upgrade file along with installation instructions. Latest firmware version is 46 01-18-08. Anyway after the installation I took a test ride, wow! they did more than just fix the decel feature, I have to put some real miles on to be sure, but the seat of the pants test says big improvement, more power, smoother, no more decel popping, very responsive. Of course I have not had the opportunity to check gas milage. If you have a Tmax and don't have the latest firmware, get it. It's free
I hate to sound like a total dullard but will this firmware update screw up the current map I have
loaded or does it just help the map run better?
Thanks for the info incidentally

I couldn't find it on their site, so I used the T-Max software
to log-in. It finds it right away. I'm guessing that is the
way the company wants it. Thats also the way the help notes
on their site tells you.

[:@] Never mind. I just realized I had to be connected to find out. I just upgraded to the newer version, but the weather here is too rainy to get a ride in. Can't wait to give it a try. My Tmax only has about an hour of use on it, so it will be interesting to see if I notice any difference. Thanks for the info!
