burning rubber
I moved my floor boards out already and still am looking to protect my boot from hitting the muffler any ideas on gaurds or homemade devices to keep down the smell of burnin rubber and the after marks on the muffler

Wow $69. It wouldn't take an hour to make a set of those. Glad you posted this. I rarely touch my pipes with my boots but it will give something to do when it is raining well a little something to do. $6.95 for the rod, a piece of left over metal, about 10 min. welding or less, and about $1.50 worth of paint or $5.00 for chroming.

The real reason I originally bought them was to take the strain off my right leg. I don't care for highway bars and at 70 / 75 mph for an extended time, the wind would try to blow my leg off the floorboard. Gives my leg something to rest against.
