Default GPS Units
OK guys.......any body mounted a GPS to the handlebars ??
I dont use the windshield in the summer so looking for a way to mount the GPS to the RK

any ideas or experience ?

I bought a Tech Mount and have my Garmin Zumo mounted on the bars. You can get the Tech Mounts in Chrome, Alumn, black, a variety of lengths and styles and they are fully articulated so you can move it where you want it to be

Tech Mounts work really well...Mine is chrome for 1-1/4" bars.

Ah used a RAM mount from local sporting goods store - look in the section fer snowmobiles...

<don't ask me why they have a snowmobile section in Texas....>

I use a Ram Mount and Garmin 330 on my Ultra Classic. Check out Cycle Gadgets for a variety of different mounts.

Kind ofoff subject but rented a bike in Tampa few weeks ago and wanted to use Zumo so I just used the windshield mount and placed it on fuel door. I am sure any flat smooth spot would do, not most secure way but put 600 miles on in 3 days and no problems. I did secure it to the bars with a peice of 550 cord, not best looking but at least I could use it.

I use a ram mount to mount my little garmin to my king. You can get a smaller mount that doesn't telescope as high above the bars as this one. But I like this one because it puts the gps close enough for me to see it and i can move it around to my liking.

Used a ram mount I got from www.gpscity.com to mount my garmin to the handle bars. Got the larger size u-bolt.
