Sorry I know this is off topic: Molsen, Bart is a great guy and I actually have a bunch of stuff ordered from him right now. I see that american classic motors is selling them for $140, but the 12" tinted is backordered, so I will have to call Bart on Tuesday and see what he can do.

Awesome stuff Phill. Great work on the pipe, looks like it was designed that way from the beginning. I can't quite put my finger on the name for that mufflers color though. What is it?

It's called "light black"....

As I understand it... the longer I have it, the darker it will get. I was skeptical at first, but I now have the utmost confidence that it will darken satisfactorily. I'll keep ya posted on that!

Phil Did you change pipes and TB at the same time? I was justwondering if any of your bottom end you lost came from the bigger TB. I'm still trying to decide on a Tb for my 117" build and was leaning toward a HPI 51 or 55. I think I'm going to stick with my Fatcat. Great lookin bike I really like that Doherty bake plate

Actually, I did the Boarzilla 1st, using the stock TB and the difference between it and the FatCat was dramatic - on the bottom. I've been following a number of builds for quite some time & was expecting that that the torque peak wouldove to the right some, but I had no idea how obvious it would be from the riders seat. It is quite likely that if a guy was not accustomed to the way a FatCat makes power down low, that might never be noticed. However, that as not the case for me.

I suppose that in order to make a truely thorough assessment, one would have upgraded just the TB, tuned it, and then swapped mufflers, and retuned it..... Having seen the common torque characteristics of both the FatCat and the Zilla, I was comfortable skipping a step and putting it all together.

I think keeping your FatCat is absolutely the right decision for your 117. If necessary, you can swap to the performance baffle....

In fact, I'm not totally sure that would not be the best setup for my bike too.
