Default Streetglide Handlebar Options

I'm sure this is a popular question so I'm sorry if it's been asked a bout a million times by now. I tried using the search function first and couldn't find anything.

I'm looking for alternatives to the stock handlebars for an '07 Streetglide. I'm a tall rider (about 6'5") and at long distances with the stock bars I get a sharp pain right between my shouldber blades. I'd like to try to find a bar that will come up and back a little bit, but it seems like the choices are pretty limited due to the fairing. I don't care about blocking the fairing mounted mirrors. I'm just looking for something that will provide a little more comfort on long rides.

Any suggestions would be appreciated and suggestions with pictures would be even better.

Thanks!!

I installed the Wild-1 575 bars, dependind how you position them they will give a 2" rise and a little pull back. I also got a sharp pain in my shoulders and I'm only 5'9". I love these bars some other guys like other type. What I did, I went to the local hang out and just asked around and sat on a few scooters before I decided on what to buy.If you decide to go with Wild-1's give them a call they sometime have blems in stock and you can't whats wrong with them.

As far as I've been able to tell the problem with the stock bars are that they are too low and don't have enough pullback. Harley probably did this in order to clear the fairing mounted mirrors. My dealer suggested Heritage bars as a nice cheap fix but they may block the mirrors. Based on some research I did on this forum, I just ordered a set of bars from Khromewerks - model number 300505. The woman on the phone was very helpful. She said that this bar will work well on my SG but it will block the mirrors. I'm not too concerned about that - I'd rather have the comfort and there a re many options to fiw the mirror issue. It should be here this week, once I get them installed I'll report back...

Firstly , welcome to the forum.
I installed the Khromewerks 300505 sweeper bars last year and am very happy with them.
I think they were $64.00 direct from Khromewerks.
They do come up and back , about 3" wider than stock , and also change your wrist position to a more natural alignment.
You can let your elbows hang more naturally (outward) than stock bars.
They are perfect for me at 5'8" , but they will do exactly what you're looking to do.
They will probably be in the way of your mirrors though.
Good luck
Mick
