Default Rinehart Exhaust Question

Thinking about installing Rinehart slip-ons on my '07 Road King. Bub recommends installing a fuel mgt system. Looking for opinions. Is this required or recommended. Meaning, will it run ok without one just not as well? Anyone have these pipes without a fuel mgt system. If so, how well does it perform?

Thanks!

You can get away without fuel management with just the slip ons. Dont expect really any performance boost, you need more air coming in for this to happen and then you need that management for sure. That being said, you should have a fuel management anyway. It would be an asset even with no pipes or A/C upgrade.

Go with the stage 1. You'll feel a big improvement in performance. I'm having Rinehart 2-1 exhaust, high performance air cleaner, and Power Commander installed on my 08 later this year.

You can change out the slip-on without the need of a download - But you're not going improve the performance just a louder bike - (Word to the wise that Rineharts slip-on are not as loud as there true duals)

If your want to increase performance - then complete the stage 1 (Air Kit & Fuel Management System) - Then not only improver performance but will help cooling the engine heat bit...

Excellent! Thanks folks. Does Dynojet make the Power Commander? Do you tweak the system using USB from a PC?

Steve, I have a 08 SG and just put Rinehart true duals, Arlen Ness air filterand backing plate, and a Power commander from FuelMotousa.com The power commander came PRE mapped for my installed pipes and air filter, call them tell them what you have and it is send ready to bolt in. The difference in this bike was well worth the cost of the upgrades.
