My 2008 street Glide came in last week, I meet with the dealer to go over the extras that we have been talking about.
One of the things I wanted were Rinhart true duals with the race tuner and air cleaner. I ordered the bike late October....
The parts Mgr showed me some "New" pipes in a 2008 catalog, the are made by vance and hines they are Python True Duals he told me he has sold 3 sets so far and the sound great....very much like the Rinharts, maybe a little deeper sound. The catch hear is they list for about $400+\-less.
So first question are they "New" ?
Then any opnions on this as an option ?
The other pipes I've heard are ok, the bubs were a littletoo loud and did not like the pitch
Thank you in advance for any and all help on this decision
Just bought my 08 Street Glide Thursday. I had the Rinehart True Duals installed. Great sound. Just not quite loud enough for me. If you want more sound have the rinehart high performance baffles installed. They are only $120 more. If you don't want loud than you will be fine. Check out my thread "rine harts louder?"
i have rinehart trues also and love them because of the performance. the sound in my opinion could be louder. i have rk custom 06 same as my buddy and we both have power commander 3 usb and stage 1. i will pull away from him slighty through the whole power band. oh yeah he has v&h longshots.
DRRANDALL1, yEP I was just reading your Thread, one of the things that I liked about the Rinharts was that they were not ear drum breaking loud.....Now I just heard them on a bike at the dealer, can't say once I had them on and rode to a bit I'd be looken to a bit more thunder !
My problem is just not sure about the Pythons ? saves some cash to add the chrom front end !
Don't know much about the pythons. You could really hear the difference when you are watching them ride your bike. My salesman rode off with my rineharts before he put the high performance baffles in. It just didn't do it for me. Even in my garage it was just not what I was looking for. The next day they installed the baffles. What a difference! Not annoying loud just NICE!! You could hear it idle from a block away and rumble aound the block. Just a good sound too.
I am curious about the Python True Duals proposed by your dealer. I am unable to find any information on a true dual set up made by Python for Touring bikes. The only Touring pipes by Python are slip-ons. (from what I can gather) Could you please point me in th right direction of the information regarding these pipes? Thank you.
My local dealer, House of Harley, sent me an email that this Saturday they will be demonstrating about 8 different sets of pipes for those that want to hear them every hour on the hour that day. Guess where I'll be stopping by this Saturday?

Hay Malac, went to the dealer today at lunch, I was having the same problem finding info.
They are the "Python Mamba Duals Complete."...... list is 639.99 I can get a 15% discoount which brings them to 543.99 compared to to the Rinharts Quite the savings !
Still intrested in feedback b-4 I go with them, In the drag specialty catalog it says "New" by them ??
