Default Lowers and fog lights?

I want to put lower fairings on my SG and I don't really want to put passing lamps on the scoot. I do like the idea of additional lighting, so has anyone ever successfully modified lower fairings to accept fog lamps? I was thinking of cutting out an aperture and sealing around the light with a rubber door gasket of some kind? Any ideas on how to otherwise mount the low profile HD fog lamps with the lower fairings installed?

Thanks.

Trying to modify the lowers will not work do to the claps of the light and the lower are almost in the same place.

1. You can mount the fog light on the side of the crash bar but I personally do like that look.

2. You can get a PIAA H4 light like I did. This bulb improve my lighting. Mywife complain when I ride behind her that the light is too bright.

I just posted this on the Road Glide pic thread. May be you could do something similar.

There really not even noticable when they are off.

Interesting idea. Looks good, very unobtrusive.

You might want to check our www.motolight.com They are a great option, very high quality piece and look great on your bike. I put a set on my RG, don't have pics yet.

I love the Moto lights as well but at close to $500 I just couldn't do it.

This set up cost me around $20 total. They don't look as cool as the caliper mount motolights for sure but I don't think they look awfully either.
So even if they were to brake I could buy 24 more sets and still be in the black. [sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Just an option.

Moto lights a very nice option. However, install real pain for a first timer.
If you are skilled; moto technicians very knowledgeable over the phone.
Steeler wants to charge 3 hours which is probably 2 hours too much.
good luck.

Yes, Motos are not cheap... I had the dealer install at about two hours.

I'm not as creative as the rest of you...
