I would love to add a couple ofadditional bright lights to the front of my 07 Ultra Classic. saw a bike go by a while back that had what looked like 2 extra forward facing headlights mounted down low on his bike. Maybe to the frame somehow? Has anyone ever seen something like this?
All I know, is that until he got close to me... it looked like a semi coming at me with all of those lights (headlight/passing lamps/lower lights). I'm thinking that the lowers on my UC might prevent me from having something like this.
I saw a Road Glide a few days ago with lights mounted on the engine guard. He had lowers on the bike. Meant to ask him about them but we jawed about so many other Glide mods I forgot. They looked good and probably functional. I heard the Harley lights will not fit with this set up butI haven't confirmed this.
I saw a vendor in Myrtle that installed the lights to the engine gaurds. I'll see if I can find their name. They are supposed to be a big supplier to police departments.
You can get Kuryakyn Silver Bullets (Large) and mount them to your engine guards or to your front fender/forks. I had some on my venture instead of passing lamps. You can put amber lenses in them.
Then there are the rather expensive Motolites. I believe that's what eglidegoodies is selling in Bulldawg's post above, they look very similar (price too) http://www.motolight.com/
I would tend to think that the slider mounted lights would live a short lifespan compared to the crash bar mounted ones with the telescoping action that goes on with the front sliders going over bumps constantly.
